About the game
A card battler inspired by the world of chemical elements. Every card is an aeon, a fighter with its own energy, power, type, grade and unique skill.
Collect aeons and actions, build your team of three and take on a league of twelve opponents. Every duel is a turn-based 3 vs 3 battle: choose your actions, exploit the weaknesses of the opposing aeons and climb the leaderboard to win the prize of the league.
The game is designed to be fully accessible: it is completely playable from the keyboard, it works with screen readers and every event of a battle is narrated by a timeline of messages, backed by an accurate sound design.

Main rules
- The fighters of the game are the aeons. Each aeon has energy (when it drops to zero the aeon is defeated), power (the strength of its attacks), a type, a grade and its own skill.
- There are five types, linked by a cycle of weaknesses: Massive is weak to Ionic, Ionic is weak to Fluid, Fluid is weak to Gaseous, Gaseous is weak to Radioactive and Radioactive is weak to Massive. An attack made by an aeon against an aeon that is weak to its type deals 50% more damage. Attacking from a disadvantage is never penalized.
- There are three grades: Common, Rare and Legendary. A higher grade is stronger overall, but within a grade no aeon is simply better than another: more power always costs energy, and the other way round.
- Every aeon has a rival, another aeon of the same grade. While two rival aeons are both in the field, the damage they deal to each other is doubled. The game warns you about it in the timeline.
- Actions are the cards you play during a battle. Aeons and actions are obtained from the packs of the shop.
- Coins are the currency of the game: you earn them by playing battles, winning or losing, by finishing a league and by discarding cards, and you spend them in the shop.
The league and the leaderboard
- A league has 13 players: you and 12 opponents, each with three aeons. Every player faces every other player once, so you will play 12 challenges.
- The score of a player is the number of victories plus the number of aeons that were not defeated during the challenges. Players with the same score share the same position.
- The home page shows the menu, the leaderboard and the challenge schedule. Select a player in the leaderboard to see their schedule. Your own schedule shows, for every challenge, whether it was won, lost or still to be played: select the next challenge to prepare for the battle.
- When the last challenge is over, the league is concluded and you receive a prize in coins based on your final position: 300 for the first place, 200 for the second, 120 for the third, 80 for the fourth, 40 for the fifth and 20 for the sixth.
- The results of the concluded leagues are saved in the league archive. Starting a new league while another is still in progress erases the current one.
- The name of an opponent tells you how tough they are: a given name always belongs to the same band of strength, so with time you will learn to recognize the dangerous ones by name alone. The strength of the whole league also adapts to your collection: the more rare and legendary aeons you own, the more of them your opponents will field.
Preparing for the battle
- Before every challenge you choose exactly three aeons. You can pick the same aeon more than once, up to the number of copies you own.
- You can also choose up to six actions to start the battle with. This is optional, and you can pick the same action more than once, up to the copies you own.
- A message tells you the name of the next opponent, the grade of their aeons and who will have the first turn. You can only bring aeons of the same grade or lower than the ones of your opponent.
- You can search and filter your aeons by name, grade and type, or show only the ones you own: the collection also lists the aeons you don't have yet as unknown slots.
- The collection page lets you discard aeons and actions in exchange for coins: 10 coins for a common aeon or an action, 30 for a rare aeon and 100 for a legendary aeon. You can never go below three different common aeons, so you can always build a team.
- In the shop a pack costs 100 coins and contains three aeons and three actions. Most aeons are common, rare ones are less frequent and legendary ones are the hardest to find, and the very first pack you ever buy contains only common aeons. Typed actions (Graviton, Radionuclide, Gas, Fluid, Ion) are rarer than the normal ones.
How a battle works
- Two teams of three aeons face each other, one aeon per team at a time. When an aeon is defeated the next one enters the field. The team that defeats all the three opposing aeons wins. The aeons of the opponent are revealed only when they enter the field.
- Turns alternate between you and your opponent. The player who moves first was already decided when the league was created, and you find it out in the preparation page.
- Your hand holds up to six actions. On the first turn you can draw until your hand is full; on the following turns you can draw up to three new actions, never exceeding six. The actions of your opponent are visible, so you can read them and anticipate the moves.
- On your turn you choose from zero to three actions and then end the turn. Choosing no action at all is allowed. The actions you play are consumed. You can also discard the actions in your hand, but it gives no coins during a battle.
- You can surrender at any time: instead of the usual prize you receive 5 coins for every aeon fallen in the battle so far, yours and the opponent's. Going back to home while the battle is in progress counts as a defeat.
- At the end of the challenge you receive 30 coins for a victory and 15 coins for a defeat. A defeat played to its end also gives you a skill card as a consolation prize.
- The timeline on the side narrates everything that happens, one message at a time, with a sound for each event. You can change its speed in the settings.
The actions
- Attack: deals damage equal to the power of your aeon.
- Fury: deals damage equal to double the power of your aeon.
- Revenge: deals damage equal to the power of the opposing aeon.
- Suppression: reduces the power of the opposing aeon by 15% of its value.
- Healing: restores 20% of the maximum energy of your aeon.
- Vigor: restores 15% of the maximum power of your aeon.
- Absorption: drains energy from the opposing aeon, equal to 15% of your maximum energy, and gives it back to you as healing.
- Chaos: turns into one of the other base actions, chosen at random.
- Graviton, Radionuclide, Gas, Fluid and Ion: typed actions with no effect of their own. Played together with a base action, they boost it by 25% if the type of your aeon matches (Graviton for Massive, Radionuclide for Radioactive, Gas for Gaseous, Fluid for Fluid, Ion for Ionic), and weaken it by 25% if it matches the weakness of your aeon. Otherwise they do nothing. Without a base action in the turn they have no effect at all.
- Skill: only you can draw it, and it is a rare find. Its effect is the skill of the aeon that is currently in the field, and every aeon has a different one. Look at the description of the card during the battle to read it.
If you play more than one base action in the same turn, each one takes effect and the typed actions of the turn apply to all of them. The weakness bonus applies to Attack, Fury and Revenge, but not to the other actions. When the damage of a single turn reaches 500 it is a deadly damage: the turn is announced with a dedicated message and you are rewarded with a skill card in your hand, as long as the battle goes on and your hand is not already full.
Tips for a winning challenge
- Read the message of the preparation page: it tells you the highest grade you can bring. Bring aeons of that grade, if you own them.
- Build a team with different types instead of three aeons of the same one: a mixed team always has an answer to the aeon in front of you and can't be exposed by a single weakness.
- Choose with care whether to bring actions to the battle, and which ones: if you have the first turn, offensive actions will give you an advantage; if the first turn is your opponent's, bring healing actions; if the challenge looks like a hard one, bring skill cards.
- Balance your team between tanks (a lot of energy, low power) and attackers (high power, low energy): the tanks hold the line while the attackers close the challenge.
- Keep an eye on the weakness cycle and on the warnings of the timeline. When your opponent is weak to your type, attack: it is the moment when your attacks hurt the most.
- Bring the typed action of the type of your aeons and pair it with your base actions: a boost of 25% on a whole turn of attacks makes a great difference. Avoid the typed action that matches the weakness of your aeon, because it weakens your turn.
- Revenge is at its best against a high-power opponent, while Suppression and Vigor are worth playing when the battle is going to be long. Use Healing and Absorption to keep an aeon alive when you are ahead in the challenge.
- Look at the hand of your opponent: if there are many attacks, consider a defensive turn or hurry to defeat their current aeon before it strikes.
- Beware of rivals: their damage is doubled in both directions. You can't avoid the clash, so the best strategy is to strike as soon as possible and as hard as you can, to end the challenge quickly.
- Discard the extra copies of the aeons and the actions you don't need to earn coins for more packs: buying packs can get you action cards that are useful in your next challenge.
- Even a lost challenge is worth playing to the end: you get 15 coins and a skill card.
